Collecting and Consolidating Your Mail with Google Mail (GMail)

By Mark Buhagiar
Friday, October 16th, 2009

I know a number of you are now starting to build a number of websites. One of the problems that arises is the issue of how to monitor all those associated mailboxes. It can be a real pain having to go through each of them one by one. In an ideal world all your mail would go to the one spot where you can deal with it at the one time.

There is a feature within Google Mail which will allow you to do exactly that. It will collect your mail from external POP3 mailboxes. You can even tag each email with the name of the domain that it came from. In addition when you send emails you can choose who you want to send as.

This video shows you through the steps to setting it all up....

Infusionsoft - Page and Order Templates

By Mark Buhagiar
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

This is another video that is specific to Infusionsoft. It allows you to create professional looking order forms with a similar look and feel to your main website. Within Infusionsoft you have the ability to add a page template. With Page Templates, every single one of your order forms can have a unique look and feel. This is great, especially if you sell multiple products and services, many of which are unrelated to each other.

The other good thing about a page template is that once it is set up you don't have to worry about the look and feel of any new forms. When you create a new form all you have to do is select the appropriate page template and immediately your new order form has your organisation's / website's branding.

Even if you don't have Infusionsoft the attached code will...

Copywriting - Anatomy of a Sales Letter

By Mark Buhagiar
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

For most people copywriting is a difficult art. The biggest problem is knowing where to start and how to get people to buy what you are selling.

Earlier this year I went to a seminar entitled "The Seven Hour Sales Letter". It was put on by Bret Thompson and Daryl and Andrew Grant. The notes from that workshop enabled me to put this post together.

The main thing to realize is that creating a good sales letter is no different to creating a website or a word document. There is a process and if followed will make your job easier. The aim here is to take your prospect on a journey, a journey where they start at the top and slide down the...

Yahoo Search Marketing - Part 1 - Creating an Account

By Mark Buhagiar
Friday, September 18th, 2009

This video will show you through the steps to setting up an account with Yahoo Search Marketing. Like Google, Yahoo has their own pay per click (ppc) advertising model.

It has been said that if you were to combine the traffic generated by both Microsoft Bing and Yahoo it would be a significant percentage of the traffic generated by Google. If fact in June 2009 28.4% of all traffic was generated by Microsoft and Yahoo! and guess what, in July of this year, Microsoft came to an agreement with Yahoo and for the next ten years Microsoft Bing will be powering Yahoo Search.

No longer can we afford to ignore the other guerilla in the room. The good thing as well is that Yahoo is not as stringent when it comes to the rules. A couple of months ago, Google effectively blocked (Google Slapped) direct linking to ......

Infusionsoft - Create an Order Form

By Mark Buhagiar
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

Today I have a short video on how to create a professional looking order form within Infusionsoft with the same look and feel as your site. The trick here is to also create a header and footer for the form and use the elements you have on your website to make the form look like it is part of your site.

I usually take the banner from the site and add it to the Order form in the header section. It is relatively easy and straight forward.

At the end of the process you end up with just one link to put into your website. This can be used in a normal hyperlink, a hyperlink within an image or from within a menu item.
