Here are a number of very useful tools, most of which I use day to day.
 

Article Marketer

Article Marketer is a facility which allows you to submit articles to 3,476 sites and allows you to submit unlimited articles. There is a free option and a paid one at approximately $34 per month. This is a phenonomel way to increase the back links to your site. A number of well written articles widely distributed will ensure that many site owners use your articles and as a result will increase your profile and provide back links to your website.

The only critisim that you hear is the one of duplicate content. Here is a free ebook you can download which goes through this in some detail. Basically the goal of Google and the other search engines is to provide a good experiance to their readers.

If you write or use an article which is then used on your or other people's sites then the search engines understand this. The main trick is to allways ensure that you give credit to the author of the work. Google may not index that specific page but if you are using other peoples work to give the reader a better experiance then the search engines will be happy with you. As an author you are in the box seat. The search engines will see that your articles are popular and will increase your rankings as a result.

Article Marketing is something that I really recommend that you do if you want to drive free traffic to your site.

Google Cash Detective

The first one is a great analysis program called Google Cash Detective. This program uses a distributed farm of network servers to go out and analyze all the Google ad words advertising. It can drill down into what keywords your competition is using, how much they are paying per click and much more. It can even automate the generation of your own ad words campaign based on other successful ones you find. If you at all interested in Affiliate marketing and want to use Google Ad words for promotion then I highly recommend this product. Infusionsoft

The back end of this website is connected to a program called Infusionsoft. Now this program is a combination of CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Autoresponder and shopping cart. At about $200 or $300 per month (depending on the version), It is not a cheap program but it is good. Artisteer

I used Artisteer to create this site, the landing page, the front page and the membership site. It really is good and I highly recommend it. I bought the standard edition at $129.95 which is what I recommend you also do. There is a "Home and Academic" version for $49.95 if you qualify.

Techsmith Snagit

I use this tool for getting screen shots on my computer. I have used it for a couple of years now and really could not do without it. In addition to taking basic snapshots of the screen it can also take images of scrolling windows and web pages and even has the ability to take shots of menu items which is almost impossible to do any other way. Once you have your image you can use edit or resize it. There is even a image batch processing function to convert or resize a list of images in one go.

Adobe Dreamweaver
