Infusionsoft - Page and Order Templates

By Mark Buhagiar
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

This is another video that is specific to Infusionsoft. It allows you to create professional looking order forms with a similar look and feel to your main website. Within Infusionsoft you have the ability to add a page template. With Page Templates, every single one of your order forms can have a unique look and feel. This is great, especially if you sell multiple products and services, many of which are unrelated to each other.

The other good thing about a page template is that once it is set up you don't have to worry about the look and feel of any new forms. When you create a new form all you have to do is select the appropriate page template and immediately your new order form has your organisation's / website's branding.

Even if you don't have Infusionsoft the attached code will...

Copywriting - Anatomy of a Sales Letter

By Mark Buhagiar
Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

For most people copywriting is a difficult art. The biggest problem is knowing where to start and how to get people to buy what you are selling.

Earlier this year I went to a seminar entitled "The Seven Hour Sales Letter". It was put on by Bret Thompson and Daryl and Andrew Grant. The notes from that workshop enabled me to put this post together.

The main thing to realize is that creating a good sales letter is no different to creating a website or a word document. There is a process and if followed will make your job easier. The aim here is to take your prospect on a journey, a journey where they start at the top and slide down the...

Adding an SSL Certificate to Your Site and Why You Would Want To Do This

By Mark Buhagiar
Friday, August 28th, 2009

Last night, I decided to add an SSL certificate to my web site (http://www.markbuhagiar.com). The reason I did it was to secure certain parts of my site against the possblility of somebody evesdropping on anyone of my clients filling out a form.

Now I will tell you from the outset the chances of anyone going to the trouble of spying on a site is limited but if you collect sensitive information such as credit card details then this is something you must do even if all you are doing is passing the data to a payment processor.

What Is SSL ?
SSL or Secure Sockets Layer is a protocol that allows for the data that is exchanged between a user on his or her computer and your web server to be encrypted. In very simplistic terms the client automatically receives a password from the server for it to encrypt the data. That encrypted stream of ...

Snagit To Capture Text, Video and Web Page Images

By Mark Buhagiar
Friday, August 28th, 2009

I have been using SnagIt now for about a year and a half. I find it particularly useful for grabbing parts of images and screen shots. It allows you to capture those difficult to capture images, like a whole web page even though most of it may not be visible. It has the ability to scroll through the page and capture the whole site as one picture.

Today I received an email from Techsmith, the creators of Snagit (they also make Camtasia) and they spoke about using Snagit to capture text from images, video and webpage images. This last feature really caught my attention. There is nothing worse then having to go through a website and pull all the images out one by one. It is tedious and just takes a long time. With Snagin you can now give it the URL of .....
